Yeah, that door doesn’t look square to me either.
Hope you can figure something out and fix it enough to work to your satisfaction.

Watching your build has saved me from spending money on buying 2 Kinetic kits I found for cheap… Dodged a couple of bullets there

Wow, that door is jacked up ! It’s hard to tell from the photo exactly what’s going on but looks like based on the gap under the roof hatch that the roof isn’t flat ?
Sooo. After an hours work scraping, filling, and adding .010 Evergreen shims I finally got the door opening square. Not a bad fit as you can see.

Ha! You’re right. There is a dip starting about the mid point of the side door running to the door hinge. Opposite side is fine. Just one more strike against this kit.

Glad to be of service. Definitely can’t recommend this kit. In addition to the issues already noted, most of the details are very soft. There is also a fairly large PE fret that except for the screens for the turret baskets is a total waste given the rather poor quality of the kit overall. Although a more complex kit I would go with the AFV offering. I’ve built both the AFV Rochev and Paladin and there’s no comparison. Much better than the Kinetic kit.

I have some parts leftover from the AFV kits that I can use to dress it up some. Not sure if it will be worth it. Still under consideration as an option. We’ll see.

Turret baskets on. Only need to do the TC ring and the two MG. Surprisingly the baskets and PE were trouble free. Also added the fittings to one side of the hull. The rails and spare track holder are leftovers from the AFV Rochev and Paladin. The ranging poles are .035 Evergreen rod.

Hello everyone, just wanted to check but I went to the campaign section of the forum to see when the latest IDF 76 campaign ends…and I may be mistaken, but it looks like someone moved it to the finished campaign section, as it shows up there, but not the active campaign section?
No idea how that happened. Let’s see what I can do. And thanks for pointing it out!

All those hatches! I’ve seen fewer holes in a colander… 
A pleasant surprise for a change. The details on the MG is rather good, fairly crisp. The gun and the cradle are one piece but the detail is well defined. No ammo cans or holder so I had to source them from the spares bin. No photos as I couldn’t get a good in focus closeup with my phone.

Well, starting the M163A1 vulcan, I still don’t know where to go. Whether to go towards a Hovet or a standard Vulcan, or a third version that really attracts me, a Machbet with TOGA armor.
But I lack the Eduard photogravure for it, I will have to ask for it…
