While I do plan to build something new for this campaign, since we decided to allow unfinished kits from the last IDF campaign I’ve started resurrecting the Meng 1/35 AH-64DI. Here’s where it stood at the end of IDF 77:
And here’s where it is now:
Rotor on just to show how it looks, not secured in place yet. A bit hard to tell, but the gloss coat is on so I can begin decaling. Fingers crossed I stick with it this time!

Looking good, Michael! Great to see it resurrected for this campaign. This must be quite the beast in 1/35. But it will no doubt look impressive with a full load of ordnance.
hearby an update about the Tiran 6 kit building.
So far, so good, this Trumpeter kit is a delight to build. I did make a start with the tracks, I’m not completed my mind about it, perhaps I will go for a metal or 3d printed version.

Does the kit include 2 sets of sprockets ? I ask because the ones you’ve assembled look to be the type meant for "live "tracks as used with their T-62M kit and incorrect for the track type you’re using here.
Ohh? Yes there is another set of sprockets. Did I made a mistake by not following correct the assemblage paper? When I’m back at my workbench I will check it out.

It’s possible that you followed the instructions but were lead astray. If this is an early release it may have an error in which set of sprockets to use. Later kits have a correction in the instructions.
I finished my Tiran 6 a few days ago.
There are 2 sprockets sets, one that fits with the tracks , the other doesn’t…
I will go with Miniart Tiran 4 that I wanted to get done with IDF 77 Campaign… I didn’t have the time so I’ll bring it here.
Those sprockets are the wrong ones, the instructions are off, in the kit I build there is no updated instruction, so I think I have an older kit (I didn’t know there were an updated version of it).
The sprockets mentioned in the instructions are to wide for the tracks, so I find out. The onther sprockets on partstree A are the ones that fit the tracks, so I will use those.

It’s not really a case of an updated kit, just that the kits produced later have the update in the instructions. It isn’t even reprinted just a sticker over the mistake on the page

This kit reminds me of one of my biggest issues with modern aircraft. They seem to think they need to basically print the maintenance manual on the airframe. Man, there are a lot of really small stencils!

Glad to see you are back at it. I want to add one of these to my collection but in 1/48. I have the Hasegawa kit of an AH-64D and the Isradecal conversion set. I’ll be using your model as a reference, thank you kindly.

Happy 4th of July to everyone here in the States!
And, lest we forget, today is also the 50th anniversary of the return home of the hostages from Entebbe. I’ve got new corrected engines and wheels on order for my old Italeri 1/48 Herc and have had the Sky’s decals for the airplane for some time. Think I’ll actually be able to do that one for this campaign? We shall see…
