If fuel, insurance, and storage weren’t a problem… what tank would you drive?

A Stryker 1128 with the 105mm or a Centaro,if I needed a minivan type,it would be a BTR-80,holds more people.

For a weekend cruiser, my M1A1 but a realistic daily driver would be a BT series tank. Has enough of everything to get point across plus you have the options for wheels or track with a weight to traverse almost all bridges.

That’s a good clip; it certainly shows how CVR(T) could get a move on if required!

M1A2 Abrams. I got to drive one once. Just raw power and enjoyable drivability. Sleek lines, too.

Well, I know it’s not a tank, but I think I need to go with the M88A2 lots of fuel capacity and ability to lift and push stuff.

I believe you can actually hire an Abbot to go round London in (I know that strictly speaking it’s not a tank but an SPG) from “Tanks-A-Lot” a local company. Military vehicles are exempt from ULEZ. Popular for weddings, proms etc. Semi-seriously I half considered a Saracen, decent speed and carrying capacity (wonder if one of my classic bikes would fit in?). But no holds barred, it would have to be a King Tiger, as a motorcyclist I’m used to the “Sorry Mate I Didn’t See You (SMIDSY)” argument from car drivers pulling out on you, so try it on with a KT!

Well, my truck in the Army was an M939 series with a big shelter and a generator trailer. I’d enjoy turning a shelter into a camper and the truck itself was a blast to drive if not particularly fast. Carry enough food and fuel and live in the wilds for months if not longer.

A tank?
A Leopard 2A4! It was the first tank I encountered irl, when serving. I still like its brute, no nonsense look and can still remember it roaring past us in the field on a warm late summer afternoon, while we were taking a break.

Or maybe an M577 as an apocalyptic campervan?

And while we’re at it, I want a Ferret as a comutervehicle.

M1 Abrams, of course, gotta maintain the posted speed limit to get to work :+1:
