Thanks for the encouragement old buddy.

Finished the ridden wheel horse with rider. I will attach the lead ropes to the limber when all is on the groundwork. I also made the tongue extension for hooking up the tree for the middle team and the chains that attach to the front of the ridden horses harnesses. They are used for limited backing up and for downhill stability as well.
Apologies JR - as if your colour version didn’t say enough, this blows my mind and you made it without knowing how…perfect?..it would look in mono…
This figure should go a long way in explaining the look on the riders’ face. The Battery NCOIC is voicing his displeasure over how slow this ream is being readied for movement. You can tell his place as the Battery “Spiess” or First Sergeant from the “piston Rings” on both sleeves and the passbook stuck in his tunic. An old vet with the wound badge as well as Iron Cross first and scend class. He also sports a “frozen meat” ribbon for service in Russia during the first winter of Barbarossa. He is a modified Dragon guy with a Hornet head and hat cut from another Hornet head
Nice level of detail on this figure and a great expression too!
Do you hollow out the shoulder tabs or did they come like that? This figure’s shoulder tabs have a realistic curve and hollow underneath them which I always struggle to achieve.
This guy came like that but he is the exception. I have achieved this look by using lead foil for the shoulder boards though.

Nicely done JR , luv it .
Thank you sir!

Your research is impeccable story telling. You think things through to the ninth degree, which is fantastic. Instead of a regular Sr NCO this guy has a story to tell.
Like they say “it’s all in the details”, I marvel at your talents.
Thanks buddy. Plenty of army stories involved in this! You write what you know.

“Stillgestand!”
Artillery gefreiter done with a converted Dragon figure and Hornet head,
Americans usually think the way to get soldiers to the position of “attention” in German is to yell “Achtung” but that command is really “Stillgestand”.
Nice one. Is he the target of the angry Spiess ? ![]()
Thanks and yes…yes he is. Heheheheh

Nice work JR , WELL DONE !!!
Thanks Cheyenne!
I took a quick happy snap of the lead team in a different setting just to show them off. I cannot marry the reins exactly in place until the final positioning so cut me some slack with that please?
Excellent JR !!!
