Yes , the thing needs a rollcage, and here it is

Next step is to paint the wheels before glue them to the car.

I really like this, with one reservation. If you’ll forgive me saying, the way the two engine pods are attached by tubes with right-angled bends just doesn’t fit well with the 1950s aesthetic of the rest of the build. In my opinion a set of pylons joining the pods to the fuselage in their present position but omitting the bent tubes in favour of (perhaps) pointed nose caps or domed ones (transparent Bussard collectors?) would be more in keeping. However, it’s your build and the only person who has to be satisfied with it is you…

Cheers,

M

Thank you very much for sharing your thougts, and i know what you mean…
But this time it could be a little bit of funny comic style, and the connection to the Jetson Family looks nice to me.

I know it looks a bit absurd, but the burning process happened only in the last part of the nacelle, and it COULD be moveable for fast movement and changin the direction too .

I had to look up The Jetsons although I had been vaguely aware of them; there’s certainly room for humour in SF modelling. I’d been thinking more along these lines:

If you’ll forgive me for saying so, your photos suggested something more along those lines than a cartoon depiction; the proportions look a bit more credible than I’d expect from a cartoon, although on reflection I realise this could be an effect of the components you had to utilise. However, there’s nothing wrong with a bit of cartoonish style, look at the popularity of “Toon Tanks” and “Egg Planes”. The latter have strayed spacewards with the Shuttle and a couple of Valkyries and Vipers, but it seems that’s about it. So there’s plenty of room left for scratch-building “inspired by” items in similar styles.

Regards,

M

Started with the color, at first grey glaze varnish over the fuselage to bring the different parts together.
It is belton rattle can, very good :+1:.

Next will be some main color sections in yellow and orange before the washings will do the final paint.

Thank you very much !

At the Exhibition one week ago i was gifted with a lot of unused parts and kits, so i spend the last days to complete that collection and concepts to start some new projects.

Wrote also some storys and manuals for our Club Homepage and Modellversium, and i hope to do more in that way  .

This is my new project in 1:35 , a sdkfz.234 Landspeeder with some massive jet engines.

Inside is a construction to hold the legs of the nacelles, and around 50 tiny small parts added to the hull.

Here is another build started, that should become a rotary engine powered … DRAGSTER

The sdkfz. is colored with a small amount of wear and corrosion.

And a fighter rocket is build from a 1:35 V1 Revell Kit.

The 262 parts are cutted and fixed together, make the whole thing nearly 1 inch longer, and spread the front side to get a open shark style mouth .

The egyptian jet is together, i have to build a landing gear …

The sdkfz. has now some markings.

And a buddy with a scooter is in production for that winter scene …
