I’m personally liking this so far. Not the absolute best but for my capabilities, with figure painting, I like the results. Just need to clean up a little in some areas but the end results are looking positive. At least in my eyes.
The little boy looking out the window is a great touch.
Excellent job Charles, the vehicle, figures and setting look excellent.
Excellent piece in many ways- from the well detailed and painted jeep, the figures are animated and painted well with eye-catching clothing colors and the scene is carefully considered with lots of great details like the old sign and the loose cables.
“Kwame needs his rest”… yes, it’s very fatiguing killing women and children! Although many of these killers, themselves, were little more than children with guns!
Thank you.
Glad you approve. Thanks a lot.
Thank you for catching all the details.
I understand your comment and it is disturbing.
If you want disturbing, try the 2008 film “Johnny Mad Dog”; what makes it even more disturbing is that some of the extras playing child soldiers formerly were child soldiers…
The book “Operation Certain Death” is an excellent read for those with strong stomachs, reading about the activities of the “West Side Boys” will give many people nightmares.

It seems I’ve seen this film before. Was it about the war in Liberia?
Yes, that’s the one; French dialogue and actors mostly people no-one had heard of before (or since).

Yep! Seen it. It was a grim outlook of things that happened.
and DRC Simbas, Khmer Rouge, Pathet Lao, the list goes on and on. . .
Nobody is as bad ass as this guy……
Gives me that old “This is Africa” feeling you can never shake.
Find the book a coffin full of dreams…
That’ll really sink its teeth into ya
