Let's see your Workbench

In my short time on this forum, I’ve encountered some musicians too. I will get a pic of my noise makers up.

Ok, so I’ve learnt I have a very hard time counting……

Left to right: 1973 Fender Telecaster, 1980 Martin D-28, 2012 Yamaha AC3R, 1981? Fender F-75

Left to right: 1983 Fender Squier Bullet HH-2, 2018 Fender Squier Jazz, 2010 Gibson Firebird

Add this, and you have instant noise

So, I can’t count, I believe 4+3=7.

I have another guitar but not a home, 2006 G&L Legacy.

The Tele and acoustics have not been modified. The other guitars have all been modified. The Firebird I only changed out the bridge pickup, the others are all very modified. The Squiers; the only thing original are the bodies and necks, that’s it, lol. The G&L changed bridge and neck pickups and wiring mods.

My wife asks how many guitars do I need? Like models, one more… however modelling so far is cheaper on my wallet.

I tried to use the link but it didn’t work for me.

I think you need to visit this link first:

and join the Off-Topic group (become a consenting member of the Off-Topic Shenanigans)

There should be some kind of Join-option (which I can’t see since I am a member already and have Owner privileges)
If you can’t figure out how to join then let me know and I will fix it somehow

I tried to send an Invite to you for that group but it looks as if I added you as a member instead.

Now all you need is an Ovation Round Back 12 string, a beautiful sounding guitar!

The bench right after we moved into our new house last year. No where near that neat anymore

The shelves and finished kits (and a couple guitars for you fellow music folks - Fender strat and Fender DG-14S TF)

And the spray station in the garage

Looks nice but I won’t use bracket shelves ever since one got bumped and the shelf jumped up off the brackets. Nothing dumped but kits got knocked over and broke off bits and bobs. So I made a set of built-in shelves anchored to the studs in the wall.

Ya I’d be lying if I said that hasn’t happened. I’ve since added a couple clear plexiglass shelves in between the solid shelves and intend to do more. I like the look and they don’t block light/cast shadows.

Most types of brackets/arms have holes for screws to attach the bracket to the shelf …

Okay, if we’re talking about Telecasters, here is one of mine.

I put a Seymour Duncan Broadcaster in the bridge and a Vintage in the neck. Pots were swapped out for RS Guitarworks pots. Pretty sure I put a ‘50s paper and oil capacitor on the Tone pot. It’s been years.

I also think I put a silver mica treble PASS (not “bleed” gaaa!) on the volume pot.

Changed the barrel saddles for brass slanted saddles for better intonation. Brass balances the bright sound better than steel in this case.

My son clipped a tuner on the headstock — that’s what that is.

Regarding pedals, this was the very first overdrive type pedal — as opposed to fuzz or distortion — I think from 1974 was when it was released?

Regarding fuzz, the E-H Big Muff Pi series are perhaps better classified as distortion, albeit very hard distortion — the use of clipping diode pairs being the reason.

Love Tele’s they just have that mojo.

I don’t have a Big Muff (too much quality inconsistency with EHX), but it is hard to beat the sustain of a Big Muff. I do use a EHX Black Finger tube compressor on my acoustic rig, go figure lol.

On my electric board the Capn Fuzz is a Analogman Sunface clone and the Range Delcaration is a Dallas Rangemaster clone. Put my board through this
