Lockheed 100

Group Build Title: Lockheed 100

Group Build Leader(s): @phil2015

Group Build Description: 100 year anniversary of the Lockheed Corporation. They have built lots of stuff in the last century. This is a group build to model those as subjects. Anything built by them is fine. Someone will ask about the F-16, and I would prefer that if you are going to build an F-16 please build one after GD was acquired by Lockheed.

Event Details: (Remember to click “Going” if you want to join the build!)

Completion Award: Looking for help on an award badge, please.

A Note about Awards: The following text is a reminder that in order for people participating and finishing their projects to receive a badge on their forum profile, they will need to provide their account username to the group build leader by the completion date of the build. The leader will then provide this list to the site admin who will bulk award the badges to those users who have finished the group build. If you don’t provide your username or finish the project on the timetable the leader has setup you will not be able to receive an award.

Sounds good. Got a couple of Lockheed jets in the stash.

A lot of tempting subjects here. Lots of starfighters and P-38s in the stash. :slightly_smiling_face:

Connies, Electras, Vegas, a resin F-90, lots to savor here.

Paul

Got to go with the greatest plane EVER built by Lockheed, The Mighty C-130…. It has been part of Lockheed for 72 of the 100 years.

Moving this one to “active”.

Not sure what I’ll do yet, but I’m thinking it’s between a Tamiya Lightning (of course) and the big Italeri C-130 for the 50th anniversary of Entebbe. We shall see…

If only someone did a 1/48 L-133

Hello,

Here is my entry for this campaign:

I’m thinking of building a small diorama depicting a starfighter during the Vietnam War in 1965. What interests me is the metallic paint job and the sidewinders on the wingtips.

Nice! I’m thinking of doing the same with the Italeri F-104C in 1/72 or the Airfix P-80 in Korean War markings.

Might have to flip a coin.
