For airbrushing.
Thanks
I’m in the market for one also, in the UK.
I’m leaning towards the fact that they pretty much are all the same but am interested in people’s experiences.
I have an Iwata Power Jet Pro. Although it has a 2 liter tank, it has never failed to provide sufficient air pressure, no pulsing, for two airbrushes simultaneously. It has auto on\off so it only runs every now and then, and is as quiet as a fish tank filter. I’ve had it for over 10 years and highly recommend it.
Depends on if want air cool or oil cool/ lube , this will give you, lower price more noise or the higher end quieter,
I have a Faller 2lt tank ,using a fridge compressor, its out of production, I have had it for 25 years.
Its up to you what you want to spend,
This chart may help
I have the Sparmax TC-620X 2.5L and I like it, filling the tank very fast (double piston) and you can plug two airbrushes.
I bought the Timbertech ABPST08 3L compressor for under 80$ from Amazon. I bought it in mid June 25 and use it on average every 2-3 days or so. I bought it with the Timbertech hose and quick connectors.
It is reasonably quiet, much quieter than my spraybooth. It holds air well. I have left it on a few times and do not notice since you cannot hear it run in the next room with the door open. not a long term test, but I couldnt be happier with it.
I have a 3L compressor made by Flowze, it is however a Timbertech AS186 or maybe Timbertech are rebranded Flowze models. Who knows, but it came with a hose, pressure regulator and quick release fittings for an airbrush and has lasted for 10 years so far. From what I remember it was around £70 at the time.
A bit off topic but for airbrushing I switched to CO2 years ago. Silent and dry.
