M35 Airfield Firefighting Truck

Hello!
OK, 40 years ago the Revell deuce must have been just fine, but nowadays it will look odd when done… Too many simplifications! It might be all right to build together with your 7 year old kid or as a donor for the cut out cargo bed.
I have that kit, too and maybe I’ll build an M34 like Gino did - I even have the parts necessary to build a detailed lower half of the correct gasser motor for it and the radiator grill with headlights mounted low - you can see it in this thread:

The AFV Club kit of the M35A2 is much more detailed - but still not as good as their newest 5 ton. An absolute maniac would have to take the M35 kit and detail it with parts of the 5 ton for top detail. Then again, the 5 ton tires would also be a perfect fit for the M34 (the tires from the Revell kit are too small!). Then again you would have to do something about the rims…

That said I undestand if you just want to build something out of the box - I’m sure not the one to tell you what to do! I wish you fun no matter what you do.

Have a nice day!
