Ooh, interesting. Some years ago I began building an M578 using the old Verlinden conversion kit, but it bogged down when I simply could not figure out how the mechanism for the rear support blade works/goes together. The Verlinden parts simply cannot fit the way the instructions say, and there are fundamental problems with them I could not work out how to fix. So I’ll be interested to see what Perfect Scale did there especially
I have the same kits in my stash, so I’ll be watching your build closely! What paint scheme do you have in mind for it?
Good luck with your build and have a nice day

@Jakko@Uncle-Heavy This PSM kit is perfectly great …
… looking in my stash because I haven’t started mine yet either
That’s why I’ll be in here watching @Ownstuff 's build which is looking good.
(the bottom sketch is from the TM for the M578, BTW). A62 and A63 are impossible to install as the instructions appear to tell you, and other parts are also clearly off in shape and/or size. The Perfect Scale parts look a lot better, sufficiently so that if I ever decide to finish my model, I might just buy that set to use on the hull I have, and put the Verlinden set back into its box.
Their parts 45 and 46 appear to be the A62 and A63 that were giving me so much trouble. Maybe with that picture I might be able to figure out how to make everything fit after all — thanks
THANK YOU Jakko! I thought it was just me when I built my Verlinden M578, Yes the recoil blade was a real Mutha Yucker, I still don’t think I put mine together right.
Love the M-578! I too started with the Verlinden, but didn’t like it because the cab was just one big solid block. The PSM kit has a few issues, bur is way better. I also struggled getting the blade to work but finally figured it out. Hopefully these might help.
