Great thread this. Very informative. Have a big Like from this callsign!
Me too
All we need are some good references
I’m sure you have some. Now I know to pay more attention to things like that. I pass kilometers of motor pools with similar items every time I’m at Fort Cavazos or Fort Carson.

My husband was a gunner in the above M915a1 during OIF II. 2004-2005. The truck was manufactured by AM General, powered by a Cummins in 1983.
I was one of the mechanics (in the group photo)
Welcome to the forum Tara. I like to thank you and your husband for your services to our great country.
Glad you are here and totally cool photos. Perfect addition to this thread. Thank you for sharing them and your story with us.
Welcome aboard Tara.
wasnt Trumpeter supposed to do a kit of that M915A3 gun truck?
Yes, it hasn’t been released yet.
Very nice. It looks great.
Our 1st plt & 2nd plt gun trucks from OIF II were both in this magazine. German & English translations.
Page 61-62. 1st plt made the cover!
Hello Tara!
I say that’s about the best modelling there is… Not only you’re doing it for somebody dear to you, but also you build a model of something you know really well! Congratulations and thanks for sharing, have a nice day
Paweł
Thank you!
Have a great day
Tara, that is a nicely build model and diorama for your husband. I love the folded flag. Also, glad to know two of the gun trucks in the magazine are part of your former platoon. I like the Heavy Metal label in the back and how the letter “T” has been shown.
Thank you.
We (our VFW) taught flag etiquette to a pre-k through 8th grade private school. One of the pre-k students folded that flag for us. I thought it would make a great addition to his diorama.
I’ve really been enjoying posting here.
Thanks so m much!
Have a great day
