Hey Al, I was a little surprised to find the later Mack M125/3 were also gasoline-powered.
Did someone hint on here that we might see a kit of such a beast this year? I do hope so - I have a cunning plan for a Brit version - essential Cold War artillery throughout the 50s and 60s.
A model was talked about a few years ago. The CAD designer already has all my research, photos and notes with my promise to help in every possible way I can. They just refuse to pull the trigger.
Instead they keep churning out WWII wreckers - which, I admit, is a fruitful endeavor as well.
Still, since AFV Club as finally seen fit to give us the backdated WWII, M1 155mm canon and M1 Limber, so we now have the exact item this tractor was designed to pull.
Gett’n kind of pissed. What’s the F’n hold up?
p.s. if they were to do this tractor they would then have the primary tooling finished to also offer two different wreckers, a semi-tractor and the earlier prototype with the C shaped cab. - Just say’n.
A conversation on another forum by the ‘wrecker’ guy said profits from existing sales fund the machining of the next one, also it’s just one person doing everything.
But yea, bring it on, please
Well for a time the Mack NO was in line ahead of the wrecker (wreckers) but apparently got bumped.
I cannot begin to say which model would have been the better seller.
What would be the opinions of others on that question?

or
Mack NO Tractor? _____
Actually I suspect the wrecker will still win out. Myself, I already had the Mirror Models Diamond T wrecker so I did not feel the need for a second such vehicle.

And that is how my build project started. I just could not get the image of this monster vehicle out of my mind.
The final straw was my discovery that the Mack used the same tires (but not same rims) and a similar but somewhat earlier Gar-Wood winch as that offered in the Tamiya Dragon Wagon model. The availability of the tires had me off and running on the build for this model.

It’s funny, when I first set eyes on these duos, I didn’t notice the trucks much at all; it seemed to me - through my 8 year-old eyes t- hat American trucks were all basically the same design, just merely got bigger in accordance to the task!

Well I believe Thunder was considering doing the Mack as an either or with the Ward LaFrance and they chose the Ward. My question is/was posed as though it was back in the day before the Ward was offered asking which model would generate the greater sales?
