Thank you, Matt.
Hit a glitch with the next phase with Milliput Zimmerit (silver grey). Test results didn’t suit me. Will demo with Milliput Super Fine White, talcum powder, gloves, pet favorite zimmerit screwdriver etc. All of that gear is back at Panzer Werks Nord.
So the Cromwell’s turret will get Testor’s Liquid Cement & Tamiya Basic Gray. However, the Trumpeter Stamp will be used to set the pattern…

The stamps work pretty well with the Zimmerit compound.
Applied 2 or 3 coats making sure the plastic was covered. Allowed it to flash cure for ~15 to 20 minutes. That will of course will vary depending on mix, temperature and humidity etc but should give a reasonable testing point.
I coated the six hex faces for the turret, waited briefly and returned to the first panel coated and went in order.
Using the stamp the turret zimmerit took ~45 minutes or so.
I’d tried this previously a few years ago but wasn’t happy with the outcome. This result is much better. With the previous attempt the zimmerit compound was too thick and too sticky, it needed to cure a bit longer etc.

Zimmerit wrapped
Q-tip w/Mr Color Leveling Thinner works great for removing Zimmerit coating from plastic.
