I bought it rather on a lark because it is so new. Looking at the dates for the possible versions, is it actually too new a version to have seen combat?

Tamiya came out with the original M2 IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) and M3 CFV (Cavalry Fighting Vehicle) kits in 1985. The M2 has a partial interior for the driver’s area and rear crew compartment along with interior placards and markings decals.
