MFCA Trevose, Pennsylvania, 4/24-25

I attended the 83rd annual show this past weekend and it was outstanding as usual. The turnout was great and the models were superb. This is mainly a figure show with a small contingent of armor, a handful of aircraft and a few dioramas. Many of the figures are originals- scratchbuilt by some of the best figure artists in the world.

Wow, lots of incredible builds. I really like “the first landing” and the guy rappelling.

Thanks for sharing.

Yes I was in my glory- 3 vignettes/ dioramas in one display by Greg Cihlar- his work was in Verlindens books years ago- all about British Paras in WW2.

The guy rappelling was titled “Delta Force” but I forgot who the modeler was.

Amazing work. Some stellar displays.

The pics don’t do the models justice, some of these pieces have to be seen live to be truly appreciated.

Many thanks for sharing your photos with us and congratulations on your win. I was considering going on Friday but passed on it as the first day of last years event was very light on entries.

Thanks Sean. I try to go every year but it doesn’t always work out. One year, it was on the same weekend as the AMPS nationals- only 2 hours away in Camp Hill near Harrisburg so I chose AMPS because I hadn’t been in years.

Friday it’s open 12-4, and there was a good amount of entries, Saturday even more so; it’s usually better to go on Saturday if you can.

Also, this year many Europeans didn’t come for whatever reason. Probably because their flights were too expensive.
