MFH's Williams FW07B 1980

@Joel_W Cheers Joel. I don’t have a plan at the moment. There are a couple of shelf queens that I might look at but may also just leave it until next year.

@agincajun Hi Terry, glad you liked the build. It would be nice to have the body shells more easily removable but that is such hassle I will just have to live with the photos of it now.

cheers
Michael

Michael,
better to take the time to fill up your Mojo tanks before the next MFH build.

Definitely a labour of love there Michael! Absolutely beautiful build, the paint, detail and decals are all top notch. Congratulations mate, one to be proud of and definitely worth the effort and extra focus that you have put in right through the project. I’m not surprised that you are considering a simpler build now, and a “palate-cleanser” would do you the world of good.

Huge thanks for sharing so much detail and your thoughts at each step, a really valuable resource (as many of the threads here have been lately) for many aspects of our great hobby.

Whatever you decide to throw down on the bench next, I’m going to be watching.

Cheers, D

@Phil_B Sorry Phil, I missed replying to your comment.
Thanks for the kind words. Your contribution as a Williams fan was fantastic. The photos plus advice made a big difference for sorting out some of the issues with kit. Now, I am just waiting for you to crack open your box!

cheers

@AussieReg Hi Damian, your very generous comments are much appreciated.

I’m in a quandary now - can’t decide what to build next. Spent the weekend pulling kits out of the stash, looking, and going, yeah possible, but no. I am sure I’ll sort something out!

I just found this build, and you did a fabulous job. I really enjoyed reading of trials and tribulations and photos. Someday I hope to pick up a MFH kit of a MP4/4 as they don’t do a TAG MP4/2. I started watching F1 in 1985 and was an immediate Alain Prost fan. To this day I am still a McLaren fan!

Hi Steve, glad you enjoyed! Hadn’t looked at this for a while. If you like a modelling challenge, then MFH will certainly give you that plus a great insight to the car you choose to build.

cheers
Michael

Just now seeing this build ! I have only recently joined the group, so I am catching up. Somehow I just knew you had previous experience with MFH kits when you built the Ferrari 335S. wonderful job on this challenging model !

Thanks Tim. As the saying goes, it wasn’t my first rodeo, The Williams was my fourth build.
If you like engines, here’s the previous three, starting with the first
The chassis of the Pink Pig

A 1967 Ferrari 312 F1

then for something completely different

These MFH kits are over the top in detail, yours are all immaculate, Master class ~ you also get the Gold Star for patience ! I have a total of three older out of production kits to build, each will be a pleasure.
