A bit more work on the crane .
Main lower frame is built up ready for the arms. Have placed it on the turntable for a dry fit and positioning.
This step was a nightmare for me @Tank_1812 … it is very fiddly and time consuming, so my initial whole build time of 90minutes would be way off… And I spent 25minutes looking for a bit in the carpet monster 
. The step is 5a …
For anyone interested, the turntable was just a bit plasti rod and another small bit glued onto the side to hold it in place.

While looking at the instructions before Xmas I thought the same thing. Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I like what you have so far.
I am thinking about the paint and coverage, I plan to pre paint on the sprues with Tamiya Xf-9 hull red, assembly, hairspray and then use a lightened and thinned XF-63 panzer grey for chipping.

That’s probably the best approach Ryan, in hindsight I should of at least primed while on the sprue…
I’m going to stay with the hull red also but chip with the Tamiya dark iron…
I was also looking at the chain again… And although it does look nice with the already dull finish it has, it looks like it’s going be the trickiest part to get attached to the equally tiny securing hook - part H20… Hmmmmm

I like the M10 stowage but now you mention that barrel Ryan I’m a bit apprehensive about it… Would a switched on crew knowingly have a serious burn/explosion hazard mounted on a wagon ? I get a few Jerry and as you see plenty of those… But I’m thinking if that barrel was hit direct or even red hot shrapnel hit it… That’s going to be one big vehicle wrecking bang ??
I watched a Chieftain video where he discuses this, it seems that just a piece of shrapnel wouldn’t be enough to set the fuel on fire so the fuel would just drip down the side of the M10 and if it did set on fire its on the outside of the M10 and not much of a danger to the crew. And the fuel they use is not Aviation fuel so it will not explode, it will only burn.

Don’t take everything you see or hear on vid clips as gospel. There are an awful lot of variables that will cause something like petrol to cook off. I would not want to be stood within 100m of a full or even partially filled barrel of fuel with rounds or shrapnel flying around. I’ve seen just one jerry can go up and that’s impressive.

Have you mentioned which Miniart base you’re going to be using Logan … ?
@Tank_1812- so apparently I misunderstood. I thought you meant the barrel of the gun, and it confused me.
really it was jut an idea to get some stowage on the tank to look a bit more like it was pushing through German lines after a battle, carrying some supplies with it. very unlikely to see, and it is highly dangerous, like some have pointed out.

also, the M10 is going to be moving past destroyed vehicles, so its really not in combat. the barrel is on there because there’s not a large chance it’ll explode when their’s no one shooting at it!

Hi all! Just a small update on the build. I have the tracks assembled in sections of 12 or 13 links waiting final assembly and have started on the engine and hull bottom.
Plan to add some AnyZ fittings to the engine for wiring.

If you have not built a MiniArt kit before be very careful with the construction of the running gear. Make sure everything is nice and square or it will throw the wheels out of alignment and or cause tow in/toe out problems as well. Good luck.

) and paint. here’s a couple pictures of the finished product.

Cool…I have all those too but the black tweezers. Best of luck and look forward to seeing your progress. I have slowly been working on turret of the T-80. Life has slowed me down this weekend.
