I think it represents a platoon, in this case, 3rd Platoon.
I’m sure others will help authenticate those markings.

But those tires…don’t they look like what we see on German vehicles?
I guess the tire size should be close (14.00x20) but the rim is different…
I wonder if the Hobby Boss/Revell vinyl tires could be fitted to the AFV Club M54 rims…
H.P.
They’ve either knocked them up very quickly (including the design) or they had them ready to go. Makes sense, especially in urban warfare where at least they’ll protect against falling masonry.
Five pounds of brick&mortar falling from the third floor or a 5 pound explosive device.
If the cage stops one then it stops the other and there is a huge difference between an explosion on top of the cage and directly in contact with the turret roof.
I have seen a photo someplace but I cannot remember where and I hope I’m not mixing this up to confuse others. Does that wood flap thing in the front comes down and become a work table or something?
Yes. Note the hinges at the bottom.
Yeah, that’s what got me thinking. I will have to see if I the photo in one of the IDF books I have.
AFV-Club M54 wheels
M809 truck series, narrow wheels
Italeri M939 with Big Foot wheels
Edit: NOT Italeri, the kit is I Love Kit M923
Edit:NOT Italeri! This is I Love Kit as Gino points out below.
Conti tires on that Israeli truck
M809 series with Big Foot tyres/tires
Edit:
The Italeri wheels for comparison …
The rims are M939 series, bigfoot (super single) rims. The above model pics of them are from the I Love Kits model though. The Italeri ones are horrible and molded as part of the abysmal tires.
