Modeling Armor of Operation "Iron Swords"

Also the front mounting points for the cage are in the wrong positions. On real tank front of the cage is bolted to the mounting brackets for the LWS sensors, not directly to the turret armour.

Hi guys, any suggestions for “BF Goodrich Mud Terrain” tyres in 1/35 scale? I’m thinking 3d printed as nothing else out there unless anyone can suggest another option. Thank you.

Or first with good.

Generally, it’s safe to assume that most photopolymer resin will get more brittle over time, especially if left out and exposed to UV light. After curing, the best practice is to keep the 3D printed parts away from any source of UV light until you’re ready to use them. They won’t degrade so quickly that they’ll disintegrate in your hand when exposed to UV but over time they will get more fragile. So as soon as you’re ready to use them, use it, then prime as soon as you can to protect the resin.

I don’t know how long the resin will last once painted and away from UV but it would be a neat experiment.

A good study of a currently deployed Achzarit, as seen Gaza October 2023,

Stowage on rear exit and back plate, headlights on hull top, Centurion or Western running gear ie a late Achzarit, and Drakonit RWS. Width indicators front corners. Cannot see the cupola from this angle, but I’d expect it to be the aquarium as opposed to the doghouse or none at all.

Woot! It arrived.

Do we have a list of tweaks for the Meng IDF Merkava Mk. 4M w/Trophy APS?

Any source for aftermarket Trophy APS in the open position or an accurate cope cage?

Other aftermarket suggestions?

Thank you

Barthass, thank you.

IDF AFV’s are a mystery to me.

Wow! that’s a lot of Smoke HC on that gun platform. can’t ID the yellow projectiles though.

Excellent posting of pics so far showing Israeli vehicles of all types. I’m rather envious of the access in/around the vehicles. :+1:

What keeps Hamas from flying a couple of gernade carrying drones out and dropping them on that stack of ammo?

Lots of electronics warfare jamming?

Just asking in a tactical sense to understand the modern battle field.

My guess is a few Iron Dome launchers scattered about out of picture.

As far as I know the Iron Dome cannot engage such small targets as UAV’s- well not the smaller variety anyway. The Iron Beam, a laser weapon, is for smaller projectiles but I’m not sure whether it is capable of targeting drones. I would say, with a deployment like in the picture, a smaller device is used to protect the area- like something mountable on a vehicle. Individual troops can also be issued with counter-drone devices for protecting areas such as pictured.
