Modeling Armor of Operation "Iron Swords"

Notice the Merkava Mk.4 belly plate on the right of the picture, just above the Nagmash? If you zoom into it, you can see how thick it is; I’m thinking 3 extra inches of protection against antitank mines,

Secret Israeli Camo of Merk IV renders it invisible to the naked eye, someone must of forgot the belly plate…

Also the adapted plow at the front of the M113 second from the left.

That’s not a plow; that’s a stowage shelf. Similar to the one on the M-113 Zelda kit from Academy.

What is the range of drone control vs. the range of the 155 batteries? If Hamas is using the smaller commercial types would placing the arty further to the rear reduce the engagement envelope?

Carlos, I don’t know. I would imagine the 155mm artillery would have a range of 12 to 15 miles at least. I’m not up to speed on the Hamas drones available and their range.

The barrier in front of the M109’s gave me the first impression they were fairly close to Gaza. That’s probably not the wall barrier outside of Gaza on second thought. Sometimes hard to see details on mobile device etc.

Did you catch the Fitter behind the ambulance with the shelf?

Can’t make out what kind of road wheel is on the front of the fitter, which doesn’t have the fold down table typically found on the front.

Looks like a spare wheel for a late production Achzarit.

I’m guessing time and opportunity.

The stack may not be there for long, they may not know it’s there yet, and/or they may not be able to get it due to limited resources or range.

Can’t hit every target on the battlefield.

Ah, yes, I’ve seen an M113 Nagmash with a length of guard rail bent into a V fitted to the front as well. But not this one.

This is Merkava style road wheel, these type of wheels are mounted also on late Achzarit and Centurion based APCs like Puma, Nagmachon, Nakpadon.

It isn’t actually. In this kt you have the option to fit the covers, which hides the jammer completely, or you don’t fit the covers at all, since there is no option to pose the covers ‘down’ (they hinge).

What the cover is covering is the “interceptor”. AFAIK the jamming element of Trophy is not identified\know\seen.

Yes, that’s what I meant. I stand corrected.

If You don’t fit the cover the kit is still correct, its looking like the covers were added later to the Trophy system, there is a lot of pictures with Trophy launchers without covers.

Oh I totally agree, but Meng don’t give you the option to fit a hinged down cover (is what I meant).

Somebody on this forum did say that they could 3D print hinged down covers but havent seen anything since.

N.B. training or ‘inert’ Interceptors are blue in colour.

Super work guys - thanks so much for sharing.

Anyone seen any Nagmashons? Don’t recall seeing any doghouses?

Also are there any Magach Gal Batash 6s left in the reserve units, or are they all retired now?

Last question - if i wanted to build an IDF Humvee (i do as it happens…), which would be the best kit to start from?
