Puma with Drakonit RWS - available from Blast. Thank you, H.P.
To be technical, resin cast, instead of 3D printed b/c 3D prints are in resin, too (UV light cured instead of 2 part mixing causing polymerization).
Jame, when looking at a given 3D printed part, is it possible to identify if it will get brittle when exposed to light over time?
I’ve noticed a lot TREX, 3D printed parts become very brittle over time. If exposed to light it’s even worse.
Thank you
My local shop has all three Meng kits available (Mk3D Early and Late, plus Mk-4M), but they’re in the $99-$103 price range )
Gotta find me a cheaper source.
Hi Wade,
I personally do not know how. I’m sorry to hear about those pricey TRex prints. I guess avoiding UV light for those would be the best and painting… 3D printing is a relatively new territory so everyone is learning as we go…
Kind regards,
James
Thank you, James.
You can see now what I mean when I say that when modelling an IDF AFV, anything from a light sand colour to a dark Sinai Grey can be considered accurate.
Yes indeed, amazing range of colors.
I use Sinai Grey as a base colour, modulate with a faded sinai Grey, use a black panel line wash as necessary and then pigment the life out of it, works for me.
I hope to do something along those lines.
Given the latitude involved a base of RAL 7021 Dunkelgrau, highlights of RAL 7016 Anthracite grey and fog of RAL 7027 Sandgrau etc will probably my test colors since they seem in the ballpark and I have them on hand.
Look at all that kit…Somebody is going to get a good kicking…
Wow yeah. Lots of hardware there!
