And I was worried about modeling a correct modern auto for a dio?
Now I shall just crumple up some tin foil and add a tyre or two…
The over 65th Shock Army - AKA The Dangerous Dads ?
These guys were middle aged when they served in the AStan / Soviet war NO ?
Not being “ageist” I could drop my pic in there and you would never know diff.
LOL
They looked younger a couple of months ago.
1st photo is a BRM recon. vehicle, cool.
Are these Ukrainians?
Don’t worry guys, we’re right behind you!

Dont think so.
Have white arm band, so Russian or more likely Separatist (Russian supporters).
That blows my mind as I don’t think they could fit in the tank!
I think they would fit OK, it’s the climbing on and off that’s hard!

I think the most important thing in that last photo is that it demonstrates a void in kits that we need: A Lada Samara. Available in 1:24 but not 1:35.

The pictured Lada is not a Samara. Here’s one :
The one in the picture is an older, Fiat-based Lada Zhiguli series one
Several early Zhiguli 1/35th scale resin models have been released by Guntower from Russia
https://guntowermodels.com/en/catalog/1_35_avtomobili/?PAGEN_1=3&SIZEN_1=15
Plan B : Welly diecast Ladas are really close to 1/35th scale, but they’ll require some TLC…

OMG i think Frenchy has run out of Ukrainian/Russian Armour pictures to post, he’s started posting pictures of cars in Ukraine lol
Sorry for the digression David ![]()

JCB + BMD-2 :
H.P.
i love that ditched BMP-2, I’m surprised it still has the anti-tank missile launcher attached, you don’t see many of them attached.
and that’s a great advert for JCB towing that BMD all the way to the bank/farm lol
@Frenchy is that a BTR-82?
could i use this kit for the Ukrainian army or would it work for the Russians as well?
i was rhinking about using it as a Russian vehicle in Afghanistan…is that s possibility?
I guess it’s a BTR-82A. The “A” is fitted with a 30 mm gun, the BTR-82S has a 14.5 KPV machine gun instead.
H.P.
For a Soviet BTR-70 in Afghanistan, yes. Leave off the wheel chocks and jerrycans , obviously the decals as well. I don’t think the Russians are using them in Ukraine though.
