Yes, those and the jerry cans are unique East German usage I believe.
Now that is an impressive list of kit. The arty counter radars will be helpful for sure or at least give the invaders cause for concern now they know they are on route.

Well I’d like to think he was filling fuel tanks, otherwise it begs the question “why do you need a jerrycan when servicing wheels/tracks/suspension!!”
Oil and hydraulic fluid is also carried in jerry cans. They have many uses.

Yes I get that, however during 28 years of service in an MBT regiment and reconnaissance regiment I can safely say I have never used a jerrycan to top levels up in hubs, suspension arms or anything else belonging to the running gear.
Ive seen the LDs do it all the time lol … (only kidding)
