Shrink-wrapped water bottles (as stand-off armor ? )
H.P.
Thanks Frenchy. The perfect pic, as usual. Now to build some water bottle packs.
I saw a short video of a captured T-80BVM that was named “bunny”.
It’s easy to bump into when it’s down.
Ukraine got YPR? They changed the painting?
Not sure, I cant tell from that pic, was a snip from a video.
Some of the donate vehicle were painted to remove old unit number, county information, etc…
After the Australian Bushmasters and the Dutch YPR-765s, the Czech DANA SPGs have made it to Ukraine :
Same for the RM-70 MLRS :
and the Polish T-72s

@HeavyArty - the bottle on the top-cover cage is the type I was on about- though it looks smaller than the 5 litre ones- looks more like 3 litres to me.
The also a video circulating of a Syrian tank commander blown completely out of his station when the tank takes a hit. He walked away, but probably needed a change of drawers.
No, this is a five-liter bottle - the modern standard.
They are round or square in cross section.
Банки емкостью в три литра - это советский стандарт: от молока до пива и водки
That’s exactly what it says on it.
Just found these two sets on eBay and ordered the combo set (35310). Water bottles and water bottle decals from Ukraine by DAN Models.
Actually they were. They gave the infantry a close-in shoulder fired anti tank capability. The warheads were designed to penetrate the armor of the then current MBTs fielded by the west. The RPG-7 was capable of penetrating the armor of the early MBTs as demonstrated in the Mid East Arab/Israeli wars. The next generation RPGs were improved to deal with the next generation of MBTs. The The Western nations improved into composite armor as a result of losses due to RPG and ATGMs. Measure and countermeasure fielded by each side.
Thanks for the info @fromSalekhard. Also thanks to @HeavyArty for the Dan Models info- I want some of these for my own builds too .
The RPG 7 was very effective. And let’s not forget they’ve moved on to the RPG 29, 30, and 32. All very capable of defeating even an M1 series tank, as happened in Iraq last time around.
Yes indeed. The RPG family tree is quite effective against MBTs. Next generation of MBTs would see the next generation of RPGs developed and fielded.
FWIW: Watch the top left of the frame of the T-90 as the drone pulls away. It was shot by the tank behind it. You can clearly see the muzzle blast and shock wave across the grass.
I think this was a disabled tank (its in an artillery impact zone and fires are already burning as it drove to where it is) and it was destroyed to prevent its capture and inspection.
Those 20 litre bottles are for office drinking fountains - I’ve ‘loaded’ far too many of those in my time. I can tell you from personal experience that they make one heck of a mess if you drop one onto the office floor - took me a long time to live that one down
