Modelling armour in Ukraine crisis

As far as I can ascertain, during it’s service career only four Chally 2 crew have been killed in the vehicle in two incidents, neither of which involved hostile actors. A further four crew were seriously injured in the same incidents. The tank has been penetrated two occasions (RPG-29 and a shaped-charge IED) each of which caused the driver to loose a leg or foot; modifications have been made since. One immobilized Chally 2 survived over a dozen RPG hits and a MILAN ATGM without the crew coming to harm, there are reports that another took seventy RPG hits with the crew unscathed.

Regards,

M

All correct and the around 70 RPG hits is also correct on a RSDG wagon outside Basra.
Only one Ch2 has been destroyed on Ops which was a blue on blue from another Ch2 and a HESH round, that was was also where 2 of the fatalities came from.

Edit. It’s also worth noting the 2 penetrations occured on non Chobham areas of the tanks. That was what led to heavier frontal armour packs and the under belly protection plates on TES entry vehicles.

Yup, I’ve had the pleasure of handling a few of the 20L bottles too. Lots of water to clean up when one goes awry.

Clear sprue! Cut to length. Put into a dremel tool and file to shape.

Good find, thank you… I may use it on this:

I got it. I can make the bottles all day long. I am more interested in the decals.

Hi all,
Not exactly an armor but would people buy this if I printed it 3D in 1/35? Bayraktar TB2 is extensively used in Ukraine. B/c of its big wing span, I’ll have to print a few separate parts - at least split in the center like below:

Some reference photos:

Thoughts? Interests?

Kind regards,

I would buy one depending on the scale it was produced in. Prefer 1/72nd.

Ukrainian artillerymen now training on the Bundeswehr Artillerieschule on PzH 2000. Unfortunatly, Bundeswehr raised the OPSEC barrier so that no pics will be available.

Yes Sir I would

I would split it at the wing roots. There is actual joint there.
Another option: Half of TB2 for ppl doing crashed drone…

Forcibly disassembled truck:

I thought I saw some leaf spring blades, the spring package had split open.
I wonder what did it, if it was carrying something explosive …
