It’ll be interesting to see how they fare in Ukraine as the sort of fighting there is pretty much what they were conceived for.
Wow! Excellent work.
The author of this is “3dtomchuk”, & I in turn grabbed it from a friend’s FB page.
Wow so the Russians have burned through their available working BMPs, MTLBs, and BMDs and now they’re fielding the rare stuff. They must be getting logistically close to the edge. They’ll have to start transferring units from the Chinese border soon.
T-90A was an option and available but $20+ more expensive. Besides when I’m finished no one will know!!!
Need to keep in mind I’m not really into armour. I just like building stuff. So accuracy isn’t an issue for me. It just has to be a Russian unit somewhere in Ukraine.
At what point do the Chinese notice that and think:
Russian military self destructed.
West out of strategic supplies, gave it to UDF.
Forget that one little island Taiwan, let take all Russia?
I don’t think the PRC will ever do that.
They could “annex” a pretty nice chunk of it, it’s not like the Russians could complain about that!!

Do whatever you want to do. There are plenty of examples of every variant of the T-72 destroyed, burned, and blown up, from the basic T-72 up thru the T-90. If not here in Ukraine, then in Syria, Georgia, Chechnya, Iraq, etc. Once it’s destroyed, it can be very hard to say what it was to begin with.
So jump in, have fun, and build it however you want to.
Ken
China is a joke. Real paper Tiger.
There won’t be a Chinese 21st Century. They are going to get old and have a massive population decline before they can get rich due to the horrible 30 years of One Child policy by the Communists.
One crusier and two destroyers correctly placed on the trade routes can cut off 2/3 of China’s energy supplies. Half a dozen nations are capable of doing that to China.
That sort of hard embargo has been estimated to be capable of destroying China’s economy in less than a year and inflicting ~400 million deaths due to starvation on China.
Basically, China’s leader doesn’t want to get on the West’s wrong side. They wont admit it but that’s the deal. China has been reaching out to Canada so sort of try and sooth the situation with the West. Saves some face vs reaching directly out to the USA
What’s been done to Russia sanction wise would destroy China as a nation in short order. China imports everything food, raw materials to grow food and energy. The only reason China can import successfully and safely is because the USA
…rules the seas and ensures trade.
The Ukraine had ~8 years to get semi ready for the Russian’s and with the Western backing look what a disaster that’s been for Russia. Just imagine what RICH, high tech, Taiwan could do to a Chinese invasion having had 75+ years to prepare with Western backing.
Of course, China is ruled by Communists so ~400 million Chinese lives probably mean nothing to the ruling Communists if push comes to shove and its necessary sacrifice to retain Communists control of China.
Ok, I’m not calling you out here, but I am interested in what you base this assessment on, please? And I know this is not the place for geopolitical discussions, indulge me. Thank you
My assessment is based mostly on highly classified secret documents full of tea leaves, and being a contrarian…wink
Actually, I think Peter Zeihan work makes a lot of sense. Not sure, I buy China is quiet as hopless as Zeihan says, he suggests China won’t surive past 2030 as a functioning country.
How China is Going to Vanish - Peter Zeihan
Check out a couple of Zeihan’s YouTube views and lectures. He’s a reputable author & lecturer.
Basically, after WW2, the USA brided up an alliance by allowing access to our USA markets and free trade. We ensured free trade with our massive navy. See Bretton Wood details. This allowed other nations devastated by WW2 to rebuild by selling to the USA . The price - the USA called the shots for the Cold War.
Worked great benefits to the whole world. Population triples in 75 years and economic outputs are 10x greater! It’s ensured a stable world that we know today…China’s built on that stability.
All the USA had to do is turn its back on the world to topple the order…and the USA already learns towards doing exactly that.
I think any such blockade might irritate the PLAN; they have some nice toys these days…

Not all of Russia (why bother?) but Siberia’s known resources (and there’s a lot not properly investigated) would put China a long way down the road to self-sufficiency.
Cheers,

Yes, they have a some nice toys…almost none of Chinese Navy can operate 1,500 miles from a home port. The Indian Ocean for instance.
Off my soap box and back to armor, I promise.
Remember the German tanks were superior to the Shermans. But weight of numbers won. China has the weight of numbers. Yes so did Russia. China all but rules the South China sea. Vital trade route. So it wouldnt take much for China to cause a lot of pain. My point is dont be too quick to dismiss Chinas capability to cause mischief. Besides we havent seen Chinas military in action. So everything is speculation.
FWIW if Australia stopped iron ore exports to China it would cause more pain to China than the US navy would.
Events, tactics in Ukraine have changed a lot of conventional thinking. Dont underestimate any possibility.
China doesn’t need to fight an actual war. They manufacture everything we buy. They win the economic war.
German armor would have been superior if they stuck to a design. Their tanks were constantly undergoing changes (making parts a problem) and they were a maintenance nightmare. Mostly underpowered and unreliable.
Powerful and heavily armored but at a great cost.
