For peace? Yeah, that was my first thought.
BTW I believe the troops in the original photo may be “special,” yet at least one of them still brandishes the Z.

Perfect!. :+1:

More FH70

On a side note, there’s a 1/35 scale plastic FH70 (JGSDF version) available from Hobby Japan :

Remember these two pics I’ve posted a few weeks ago ?

Since then I was wondering what was the purpose of these “swing arm barriers” (I was maybe the only one here  )

Now I know, thanks to this article I just came across (serendipity at its best ). They have something to do with heat traps used against heat-seeking ATGM’s…

I don’t think that there are “heat seeking” ATGMs, at least not in the same manner as heat seeking air to air missiles like the Sidewinder. Missiles like the Javelin or Maverick use Imaging Infra Red, where the operator selects a target visible to him through a thermal camera in the missiles guidance section, locks the target into the missiles memory, then fires. Air to air heat seeking missiles do not have a camera to display their target nor a memory to lock in that image, but instead home in on a heat source via a tracking system.

Tanks with a ‘feel good cage’ also come with a ‘feel good tail torch’?

News here reports that the US plan to send ATACMS rockets. Wonder which carrier will they have? MLRS or HIMARS?

If you look close at the top of the turret you can see the clasps for the lining, it has probably burnt off, smoke mortars seem to be all there.

More FH70 (and a bit of MAN 7 ton truck…)

Hi guys, anyone figured what type of T - 62 with ERA is in Ukraine?
With or without DShK? I know it is not mounted but don’t know what model to buy.
