I get where you’re heading with this. That Politico article is of course an “Opinion piece”. Forgetting about Ukraine or pushing Ukraine into any settlement that is unfavorable to them is a huge mistake. This will not end until Russia is punched hard in the mouth and Putin is the one who gives up.

I completely agree. Any concessions to Russia by Ukraine in exchange for peace is only setting them up for further invasions or meddling in the future. Ukraine IMHO needs to push for it’s territorial integrity completely, including Crimea (even if that is not realistic at this time).
