The root, конч-, is used for words like “end, finish, terminate”, and I believe this word form is past passive participle, modifying “we”.

Although I got a minor degree in Russian back in '91, I no longer speak it nearly as well as I did then. And if you know that much about Russian, you know it can’t be translated easily using a dictionary. I never took the translation class. I got by by doing a translation to get credit for it in a Russian history class. It was from the Memoirs of Alexander Herzen, but I didn’t know what it was from. I did my best using a dictionary, and was barely able to make sense of it. But what I could understand enabled me to figure out where it came from. I checked the book out of the library, finished the translation, and put enough mistakes in it to allow for the fact I hadn’t taken the translation class. That is the Special Forces, Captain Kirk Kobayashi Maru solution. To me that’s what college is supposed to do - teach you to work through a problem and come up with a solution.

If my translation isn’t quite right, there’s your reason.

I like Russian, although over the last 30 or so years I haven’t spent as much time reading or listening to it as I should. Prerogative of an old guy. I should have prefaced my previous post by saying there is not a lot of context in two two-word phrases on a Russian soldier’s patch, and my translation was a feeble attempt at expressing what an invading soldier might try to convey to the enemy.
I don’t disagree with your translation, especially the first two words, and your translation of the second two words isn’t wrong. I was overthinking what message might a Russian soldier try to convey in four words (I have no idea how the penguins fit in here); there are multiple correct translations, thanks for yours.
Perhaps one of the native Russian speakers will let us know the correct translation?
The penguins are characters from the Madagascar movies. Always trying to escape from the zoo. Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private. Look up some clips of their antics. “You didn’t see anything” “Cute and cuddly boys” and “Smile and wave boys” are some of their better lines when their plans go awry. I’ll bet the Russian phrases are similar in context.

Tamiya’s quarter-scale M1A2 is good kit but represents one of a very small number manufactured as genuinely new vehicles (the last 60-odd off the A1 production line were finished to the initial A2 spec). You need to shave off one of the filler caps on the rear deck and re-score a couple of panel lines to represent a more typical 'A2 but as a base for later variants, it’s a good place to start. I’ve built a couple of them (an early one in Iraq and a SEP V2 in Europe) and have a couple more in the stash.

Back to the actual subject of the topic… As far as the Bradley’s going to Ukraine, they will be M2A2 ODS Sa vehicles. It was discussed further up the thread and how to model them, as well as here:

They are also getting M3A2 ODS SA and a few M7 BFIST. It is still to be seen which version, but I am assuming M7 SA BFIST.

This may surprise people but I don’t read every post in a thread, especially one this long. I see no harm in a repost. But if it helps any, yes Gino, you were first.
