Ooh, I want one of those! Or better yet, an Abrams tank!

doesn’t look like the modification are that hard to do, tho I’m surprised they didn’t do such a good job with the hull considering all the available doc on the B3 (and the real thing).
It was annoying, but on the upside, the hull can be used to correct their T 90 hull,
Since I was correcting it anyway I decided to go a step further.

BTR-50 is amphibious so that might possibly be a reason for bringing them in.

On the other hand, the BMP’s are also amphibious …

The effectiveness is somewhat mitigated by advertising it on the interweb.
Well,
Yes and no.
Depands on what the goal is.
If I want the enemy to waste all his missiles firing at decoys then I want him
to believe that I have lots and lots of real vehicles.
If I want the enemy to stop firing then I want him to know that there is a x %
probability that he is wasting precious missiles on decoys.
The purpose is to avoid losing my own assets and both of the approaches would achieve this.
Hide my real vehicles and let the enemy “kill” all the decoys
or convice him to stop “wasting” missiles on decoys. If the enemy believes that all
vehicles are decoys then I can allow the real vehicles to be seen.
There are many layers to desinformation …
Apparently on a couple of occasions the Ukrainians were attacked with BTR50 without drivers and filled with explosives, a kind of armored kamikaze without drivers, they found one unexploded, I don’t think they use who knows what technology other than jamming the accelerator and let it go and see what happens… ![]()
