Hello, my ukrainian abrams arrived this weekend and I wonder if it’s not possible to make resin kontakt 1 using left overs from other kits.

Sure it possible but it’s definitely not worth the cost and hassle. There’s several aftermarket Kontact1 ERA sets available in 1/35.

Ryefield Model’s has a nice Kontact1 ERA set for $15 to $18

Dan Model 3D Kontact ERA is also sweet.

I haven’t ofund the ERA set on online shops, I think the 2 B3 obr 2016 I got are going to arrive next week (intended to take them sooner and I was able to grab the trumpeter with cope cage for cheaper, I don’t get why it has such a big price difference compare ot the other variants).

Actually found the rye field ERA box online, I’ll get it for easter (I still have a bunch of kit to finnish till I start all my leopard and abrams).

Looks like that Cr2 has a plate welded to the underside to the rear of the turret … just extra storage space for the cam net ,?

For anyone building a Spartan or CVRT… The image above shows perfectly how the inner track spuds rub against the side of the hull down to bare metal…
