Never noticed that and i took a ride or two on bmp twenty years ago. Only thing i remember is not to use the side firing ports when driving as not to kick your teeth out with the rifle stock. Some joker even fired up a smoke grenade inside once. Ahh those were the days. Cold food, cold ground, sandy bratwurst. Good times.

That does look to be a B model. The single ammo can stowage on the turret side under the TC hatch and the up and out curving additional armor on the front of the turret are two recognition features.

The climate proponents gave up on second guessing the next ice age or global warming. Climate change suits their needs since the climate does change all by itself. Any deviation from what they expect in NYC or LA and boom! Climate change!!! None of those folks seem to ever blame China for any part of it.

Have I ever told you about the TOW missile carrying Prius?
I rode in the turret of the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum’s BMP 1. They sure do wallow around when they move. I spent most of the time clutching the hatch to my chest to keep my body forward, so the securing latch on the rear did not sever my spine. Now I know why the crews wear body armour - to protect themselves from their own vehicle.

As my instructor (who was missing a figure because of the tank) said, this machine (M1A1) is designed to injure or kill, it does not care which or what side your on. This statement can be applied to most military vehicles.
