This is a leopard right probably a a5? At first i thought it was a abrams because of the suspension units.

I’m thinking it’s a Leopard 1 for sure; I’m not a Leopard 1 boffin/maven/expert but I can tell that much.

It’s a good thought but the way they are keyed it isn’t possible to do so.

My current thinking is that the keying is a bit tight causing them to rotate a bit

Correct, a cast turret Leopard 1A5. Likely an ex-Belgian Leopard 1A5BE as seen in Ukraine in the image below.
