I have noticed that there are numbers on the fronts of modern Russian tankers helmets. What do these mean or represent?

My guess would be they match the vehicle number ?
I appreciate your serious response. I’m trying to get a definitive answer. I was thinking it could very well be what you stated. Still hoping to get a concrete response. But, thank you again.
Attempt at serious response - The number should match the vehicle since the helmets are part of the tank’s basic issued equipment.

US soldiers do it as well. Note vehicle number on helmet and ammo can. In another similar photo of an M3A3 they even wrote Eagle on the water cooler. Helps cut down on petty theft between vehicles, leading to fewer fistfights.
