My modelling tools designs

Hi, I will open separate topic for my designs for useful modelling tools and accessories

First, I had to design some handles for the RB Production riveter tool, because the knife handle was not very convenient for me. I will cover it with anti slip tape for better handling. Also handles for the fine saw blades.
And as I don’t have metal handles bending tool, I designed one for 3-25mm handles, works nice with copper wire and brass rods.
Printed with black PLA on my FDM printer Neptune 3.

Cheers!

@Venko Venelin, that’s outstanding designing your new tools!

How difficult do you think doing something like HobbyTrax for a Ryefield Model’s Sherman would be?

Thanks! You mean track jig?

Yes, track jig.

Generic is nice but taliored to a specific tank type is extra sweet.

That can be done, yes. But I don’t have the RFM kit to measure it.

I will try with my Dragon Firefly Ic to see how it will look.

Roughly where are you located? Might be able to send you an RFM Sherman for measurement.

Wade the track jig is going to be different between an M4 (Firefly IC) and an M4A4. The M4A4 has the extended hull.

Matt, thank you.

I’m OK with the conventional approach on my current M4A4. I was thinking of future projects. However, with a M4A4 track jig my RFM collection of M4A4’s would surely expand with each Spruebrothers.com sale!

Would there also be a difference in HVSS vs VVSS?

I’m in Bulgaria, but I don’t think will be possible with postage, customs etc.
I will try with my Firefly first, but I may get one of those RFM Shermans too

Understood, thank you for taking time to consider the idea.

A+++

Yes Wade VVSS and HVSS would necessitate completely different track jigs.

I like their track jigs. Pretty sure I have a Sherman one but I don’t think I have a A4 one. I know there is a length difference but if not using rubber bands it doesn’t really matter, you can build one side slide off and build the other side. Attach on the tank. I did this with the Hetzer jig as the Academy kit size is different then the Tamiya or Dragon (forget which it was designed for).
