Track uplift support.

It is not in the kit since it was not attached on the real vehicle that day.
Why isn´t someone complaining about the missing padlocks?

I can’t believe Tamiya missed the PadLocks! They have really slipped and suck now. How could Tamiya not know there would be padlocks? They suck bad! Their crystal ball isn’t what it used to be. I will not buy a new kit in 2024 without pad locks! Border models rocks!

How’s that for a classic AMS whining vibe?

BTW - Posted as a sarcastic joke! I don’t want to cause any unnecessary butt-hole strokes amongst the super serious or humorless.

Cheers :beers:

Mine arrived today from Modellbahn Ott Hobbies (an Amazon seller):

I’ll take some sprue shots tomorrow. Looks good - not too many parts. Not as impressive in detail as Border’s or RFM’s but as stated, you buy Tamiya kits for the ease of build and good fit.

Modellbahn Ott is an actual brick and mortar store in a small town in eastern Pennsylvania; when I go to visit family in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, I make sure I get a Modellbahn Ott visit along the way. Very nice people, good selection of models, RC, trains and craft stuff - an old fashioned Hobby Shop.

Thanks for letting us know about this shop . I was in the area today and stopped in, they have an impressive amount of finishing products!

The shop is in Boyertown, PA. There is an old fashioned candy store/ice cream shop just up the street. It’s also the birthplace of Tooey Spaatz of USAAF fame. There is also a museum dedicated to him. My IPMS club did a few of the models there. There’s a large diorama of an 8th Air Force airfield. Also a full scale mockup of a B17 cockpit that is computer controlled to give a Birds Eye view of a mission complete with attacking fighters and ack ack.

Looks pretty close to my buddy in Allentown, gotta check it out when I come north to visit.

Yes, it’s not far from Allentown at all. Since Piper Hobby died years ago, Modellbahn Ott is my “local” hobby store, only a 3.5 hour drive in good traffic.

Before I forget, if you’re visiting Allentown, you ought to visit a place called Tony’s in Coplay north of the Mall. They claim to be the oldest hobby shop in the US though I’ve no way to validate that. Mostly though not totally cars but a pretty fair selection of supplies too. Not the cheapest ever but seriously nostalgic since they’re the front room of a house in an old neighborhood.

Only other shop near Allentown (that I’m aware of) was a Hobbytown just outside the mall, but I don’t remember a track there and they’re years gone now. There’s also the massive AAA Hobbies in Magnolia (southern) NJ - absolutely gorgeous store with a massive selection in every genre, but very, very expensive.
