Welcome! I have enjoyed your builds. I am also interested in the Iran/Iraq War vehicles.

Welcome aboard Matt!
The ads in the Kitmaker forums can be “tuned”.
Googles advertising algorithm seems to default to ladies underwear.
It also picks up on your Google searches, what you look at on ebay
and other “vendor” sites.
I make sure to click on the ads that I can tolerate, there is a Swedish
auction site, Tradera, which is partially an electronic garage sale.
Some vendors sell second hand model kits so I make a point of
clicking on those ads to keep Googles ad-selector “focused” and
away from ladies underwear. Searching for tools, model building
materials and electronic gadgets on Aliexpress is also
a useful diversion tactic.

Happy to see all your very nice models, top notch!

Probably the easiest way, is to stop looking them up to start with.

Any recommendations on source material for distinguishing variants on T-55s (mod #s)? (and on T-62s while I’m asking actually).

Thanks Unc! Those ads are maddeningly distracting. A few months ago I bought something along those lines for my wife and I’ve been seeing nothing but those ads since, as well as on other social media.. I don’t mind the eye candy so much but hopefully she doesn’t see

Thank you for those recommendations.

Bien merci my friend! I’m Cajun as well, I speak the language too! My people all came from Lake Charles, Scott, Crowley, Gueydan, and Franklin.

I hope so, brother! I have a lot to learn but have covered a lot of ground over the last couple of years.. I keep saying the DoD should put me back on the payroll, this time as an analyst egghead

Thanks Sam, I appreciate the kind words.

Yes indeed my friend, a 3D printer is a game changer. I learned how to use a CAD rendering program, Shapr3D, and it has very much changed my modeling for the better. All of my finished stuff is on Cults3D as free downloads, as they always will be!

Robert, this is absolutely amazing work! This BTR-50PK/ZU-23 combination was called Kashayar by the Iranians. I did one in 1/72 some years back, but yours blows mine out of the water! If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get the figures? They actually look like Iranians, and there’s no mistaking that G3! Simply perfect, my friend!!
