NEWS: 1/35 Magic Factory M7A3 BFIST (Bradley Fire Support Team Vehicle)

I guess if Gino scratch builds them companies will make them haha

It’s one of a trio I’m working on at the moment using Magic Factory kits, although I’m concentrating on the Linebacker for the moment, I’ve got plenty of references at least.

The problem is that until now there is no correct targeting box available.

That may change:

That figures. It looks like it will be the “other modern vehicle” they said would be announced w/their M10 Booker.

I have all the pieces/parts to build an A4 version too. I’ll probably get one to see how it is.

It looks like it has the newer long-range antennas and new GPS/INS system.

Another thing to note. If the CAD is correct, this is an M3A3 hull with periscopes on the roof-top TOW reloading hatch, not the rear hull top. If so, it will be the first M3 Magic Factory has done and could be built as an M3A3 CFV as well, providing the TOW box is still in the kit (it probably is since it is on one of the common sprues). It may point to another full line of M3 CFVs to come as well.

Interestingly, the decals still have markings for TOW missiles too. Hmm.

Hopefully not with the inherent errors found in their 3 in 1 kit, but I doubt it.
I’ll stick with an A4, which still lacks critical components in the turret basket.

Holy crap, that’s awesome

Maybe Magic Factory will make a M992A1/2

I’ve offered my services many times.
Now I’m more interested in the A3. I’ve done the work. It’s just a matter of finding out for sure who ended up with the molds for the M109A7.

Trident does one in 1/87, but I’m not interested in switching scales with my artillery builds.

Preview of the kit below. It basically says the same as I did above.

Potentially based on a vehicle in this photo:

At the very least, parked not far from this one:

It also provides an excellent 3D printing project for anyone so inclined…

I preordered this and a M10 Booker from Andy’s yesterday…

I think I’ll have to do an M7A3 like this one:

I just read about this but like a number of more obscure kit makers I know nothing about this company Magic Factory.

They are a newer company out of China. They seem to be focusing on modern Armor. I have their last two Bradley releases, and they look really nice. About on par with Meng’s Bradleys.

As you can see Magic Factory has quite a range of offerings, but I can only speak to their M2A4 3 in 1 kit.
It’ s not the greatest - there are so far over 13 “shortcomings” and counting. Many of them are easily correctable, but then again, Magic Factory could easily have corrected them as well. Some of them are a regression, such as the missing shell ejection port, which has been done on the Meng kits, or the too small bolts on the side armor. All in all buildable, but it takes some work to bring it up to standards.

Figures Magic Factory would do this. Well I got my 3D parts out there for a bit.

If you want to do a BFiST on a Tamiya or MENG kit instead, look on eBay.

(Yes, I will be buying this kit…but I agree with 18bravo; the MF kit has its own issues.)

It is very difficult to decipher modern United States military jargon. Is this an artillery spotting vehicle?

Yes, this is the US ARMY Bradley Fire Support Team (BFiST) vehicle.
