Here is the PDF.

YouTube also has a few tutorials on AK Interactive’s Playmarkers. Playmarkers function differently than AK Interactive’s Real Color Markers so I highly suggest watching some of the YouTube tutorials for guidance and information.

For people in the US that got the playmarkers is there anyone in the US stocking them besides Amazon? A lot of places are out of stock on the full set. Thinking of just going to ak direct.

I have done that recently with no issues.

Currently Andy’s has them.

My local hobby shop only had singles. :man_shrugging:

They just arrived in our warehouse last week, and shops are starting to order them. They should be available at your local or preferred online shop within a week or two.
Being that we are co located with Andy’s he has the box set, bit not the smaller sets or individual markers… yet…

Thanks for the info. I see the set on Andys now. I don’t think any local shops carry ak products. If I thought about them earlier I could have picked them up at adepticon from them.

My local shop has the full AK Interactive paint marker set, and they started offering DSPIAE products, including their paint markers.

I will probably hit Andy for these markers.

What’s the name of your local shop, if it might ask?

Can’t say that I’ve packed and shipped any items for that store. The name doesn’t ring any bells. But perhaps one of my co workers… I look at the names of stores that I fill orders for, and have shopped at some and learned of many others due to this job.

that has to be a one of a kind. I’ve just never seen any hobby or particularly model related items at an Ace Hardware, but I admit, in an area where no one else has anything, it’s not a bad idea and would take little space. Good for them, whoever they are. We have a hobby lobby that has next to nothing, and don’t ever restock their paints, and a Hobby Town that is even worse for paint supplies. I have no choice but to order online and Hobby Town caters to the remote control crowd and car models though they have some kits, but very limited and the way the business model is set here no shop can carry stock that they have to buy in advance and cannot return. Here in South Dakota, the wholesalers seem determined to put hobby shops out of business. So sad.

Actually I don’t think that it is. Both the local Ace hardware here in Goodyear AZ and one back in Huntington Beach CA had some hobby related items. Both stock the K & B metal tubing, rod, and sheeting. The one back in CA also had a small selection of Testors enamel paints in single packages, as well as some X-acto and Dremel tools/accessories.

UC Berkeley, CA, had an ACE Hardware with a very good hobby shop in it. You can Google β€œUC Berkeley ACE Hardware hobby shop” for videos and photos. I’d only believe in the photos 2022-2025 because I don’t know when the new ACE Hardware has been built and if it has a (new) hobby shop in it.

The reason there is a hobby shop so close to UC Berkeley University is because the campus has a renown Architecture program and the students need supplies to build their Architecture models for class.

The original ACE Hardware hobby shop moved to its new location because they tore down the old building as being non-earthquake compliant and safe. Some of those photos date back before the pandemic. I haven’t been to the new ACE Hardware in Berkeley (or around that area) in years because after the pandemic, Berkeley has really went downhill and is generally considered unsafe and somewhat a ghost town as seen on the YouTube walk-around videos. However, there is a video showing the hobby section dated 2024.

Here is the video:

Posted 5 months ago below. I am assuming that is the new ACE hardware store, but I can’t verify since I haven’t been there personally.

Sorry, totally off topic to AK Interactive’s Playmarkers. However, one can find some vintage kits and good deals perhaps since the UC Berkeley students are mostly young and probably have no clue what to look for in model kits since they lack the age and experience in the hobby.

Longs Drugstore in Chula Vista CA used to sells kits in the late 90’s. Doubt they are still around.

Long’s and Walgreens used to sell kits and those small Testors enamel paints in glass jars. Michael’s art store also sells some kits. Usually with these stores, they sell β€œMade in the USA” plastic kits and their stock is pretty limited as the USA hardly makes any new model kits.

Their model kit section stock isn’t controlled by the chain store. I asked decades ago when I was a student and the store cashier said it’s contracted out to someone who comes in and takes weekly or monthly inventory. I even was seen a text catalog of the kits that the contractor ordered fromβ€”nothing European or Asian-made. This was before online hobby shops, so when the internet hit schools, I learned that the best-made kits are not USA-made.

Now with 3D printing, one can essentially print whatever subject one wants into a scale model kit or figure.

The shop ius the only game in town for scale modeling, and they have a very wide assortment of stuff. From Warhammer 40K to model trains, RC cars, boats and planes to Lego and all the Gunpla/Gundam stuff you want.
