And, it only brought a pair of 50cal to the right. And M60, not much, really.
The PBR had more firepower, was cheaper, and more versatile.
Like troops wearing jet-packs, as was demonstrated to Pres. Kennedy, around 1960 - 61. Looked neat, even spectacular, but certainly NOT practical! (Like the flying saucer thingies!).
Agree this is way super cool and must have.
The reviewed has one thing wrong. The markings are not gaudy. All military vehicles should have shark mouths and pinup art and funny names and stuff. Officers who make rules against that sort of thing are big poopy heads.
Also, we need way more flying saucers and jet packs in 1/35 scale.
And sharks with lasers!
When I was a kid I had a toy/model of this:
Hard to remember what scale (if any!), the pilot was anywhere from 4" - 6" tall. It had a spring-loaded hand-held launcher and could go flying and hit the ceiling (ouch!). Unfortunately, the “pilot” spun at the same speed as the craft - no wonder they were unsuccessful!
Ah, yes. “Jewish Space Laser Sharknado”, coming to a theatre near you… NOT!!
just a heads up, internethobbies are taking advanced bookings with a good discount off if you decide to go this route.
i am not connected to this company in anyway
kind regards,
Klaus
Beware of Internet Hobbies if it is the same one I knew of . Big rip off artists and many consumer complaints. Pennsylvania Attorney General went after them .
@Newtonk Let it be known that you are totally, partly, slightly responsible for what is about to happen in the Sci Fi and Alternate History campaign.
@Biggles50 What the? That looks like something I built to terrorize the cats.
Hmmm…just attach 4 of them to a central command module and…oh! wait! It’s already been done - manned drone/flying car/etc!
David and all Kitmaker forum subscribers,
I want to warn you - do NOT order from Internet Hobbies! Unless you want them to take your money and never ship the kit.
They’re known fraudsters in the business. They have been scamming modelers since 1999.
The most recent forum post about them being sued by the Pennsylvania attorney general:
The Better Business Bureau’s rating of F:
https://www.bbb.org/us/pa/mayfield/profile/wholesale-hobby-supplies/internet-hobbies-0241-235973355/complaints
Copy of the official lawsuit: https://www.attorneygeneral.gov/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/2021-11-24-Internet-Hobbies_CIE_Filed.pdf
As far as I know, the lawsuit is still pending due to the Covid pandemic. Unless they settled out of court.
Its listed price sucks anyways. Instead, I recommend Squadron, which has it listed at $95.99 USD:
How is Internet Hobbies even able to list anymore? They have been proven to be a criminal enterprise and prosecuted by the Pennsylvania Attorney General. Certainly they have a Cease and Desist Order.
Matt - I was wondering the same thing . I read somewhere that the case was delayed due to CoVid but I don’t know how current that was .
Bottom line - STAY AWAY FROM THEM !
As Rich said above, the case is still pending from what I heard, and the company is still allowed to operate the [scam] business unfortunately.
From what I gather, there are modelers who received their orders on time recently. Maybe they cleaned up their acts after being investigated.
However, I’d still recommend avoiding them like a plague and put them out of business.
That sucks to hear about internet hobbies…. That was the place where i bought my first model kits from
It might be possible to backdate this to a Brit trials version - not that I particularly wish to do so (all that research let alone building), but not an uninteresting kit that’s for sure.
It would make for something different on the display tables. Well done Gecko.
Out now. Squadron got some in and managed to snag one before they sold out. Should be here in a day or two. Also available on eBay from a number of sellers.
