Hello all
a very great surprise ![]()
Nice. I figured they were going to do more HMMWVs since there are a bunch of extra parts in the new HMMWV Avenger kit. Can’t wait to see what else they come up with.
Most of those could be built from the new AFV Club Orev kit or other existing kits.
The first one could be built from the new AFV Club Orev by swapping out the TOW mount for a standard MG mount. The roll cage looks the same.
The next looks like an M1151 with the rear A/C vents blanked off. You could use the Academy kit for it with the IDF Remote Weapons Station (RWS). I have seen one somewhere, maybe a 3D option.
The next two look like standard M1114s with IDF RWS and other gear on them. The Bronco M1114 could be used.
The last one would take some work, but it looks like you could modify the roll cage on the new AFV Club Orev to make one.
And the response underneath. It just takes patience.
It’s nice that plastic model kit companies have finally mastered making thin rollbars and rollcages. That opens up a lot of new fast attack and SOF vehicle possibilities that were once reserved for resin makers.

Legends done a dumvee, no idea where the name came from,
Not a bad start, really
I know exactly where the name came from, as well as the idea for the kit. But a good many modelers still shy away from resin,
I have six IDF vehicles in my collection, but there are another five or six variants I’d like to build. However, as this is a niche subject, there’s no point counting on a kit or conversion set. That leaves scratch-building, relying on very good photographic documentation,
Maybe an M1165 ???
I have an old DTOYS resin conversion, LIAM MODEL 3D done one to
I like your collection
very nice kits and scratch build.
We could thanks Legend Production for their IDF conversion sets
Yes, I meant an M1165 and you could use the M1151 as a starting place. I too have a 3D printed M1165 conversion, we’ll see what I do with it.
Yup, looking good. The M1165 conversion parts look the same as I have. Mine are by Ettore @galactica Galasso and were ordered from the 3Dp Train - 1/35 Scale site.
It looks good. Is this an early preview from the Shizouka show this weekend?
yes, exhibition preview
Any other surprises from the show?
