Via Defence Blog: Flyer 72 “`The Beast’ equipped with a remote weapons system, up to 42 rounds of 120mm mortar ammunition, four RPS 42 S-band hemispheric air surveillance radar panels, and cutting-edge anti-drone technology,”
US Army’s Small Multipurpose Equipment Transport (S-MET) with four Javelin ATGMs and a 30mm autocannon with a 7.62mm COAX machine gun on a EOS turret. Designed for C-UAS and anti-tank attacks, this has got to be one of the most powerful UGV prototypes around (as most UGVs just has one Javelin ATGM mounted).
(Leopard 2A-RC 3.0 in the mud photo from Security Magazine) This is the wrong photo for the article title that the editor didn’t catch. It shows a EMBT (Enhanced Main Battle Tank) by France’s NEXTER and Germany’s KMW instead.–Trisaw
Ah, someone needs to proof read Security Magazine for them, I’ll fairly confident that last image is of the EMBT, not the 2A remote control tank, as seen above it. Great images, Pete, thanks for posting them
Thanks, Kylie @Newtonk. I was about to edit my post but you’re correct in that it’s the wrong photo for the Leopard 2A title. That is indeed the EMBT as you mentioned.
