Northern Model Show 2025 North Shields

Went to the Northern model Show as I do every year. Didn’t come away with a kit this year as nothing took my fancy but did pick up a few tools. Anyway took a few pics of kits displayed on club tables and in the competition. Favourites for this year, the BMW Isetta, all of the wrecked aircraft and tanks, the Buccaneer, Bronco and Frogfoot and for sheer size and complexity the Scammel with AVRE load.

There some really nice builds there … a great selection of CVR’s and Cr 2’s.

Thanks for sharing these. Much appreciated!

Agreed the Scammel is a stand out. I also like the two Corsairs on the flight deck.

Wow, some beautiful work on display on those tables. I would love to see more of the Flowers Class Corvette if you have any. TIA

Great pics from what must have been a great show; all very impressive, but the amour selection particularly so. I certainly agree re the transporter/AVRE combo - a labour of love that’s for sure, but a fantastic result.

Thanks to all who shared their pics from the show, some fantastic models and impressive dios, very imaginative presentations, honorable mention for me is the soldiers carrying the dummy tank and Princess Leia with R2D2 . . hmm, what’s going on there?

Ruh Roh, my previous post (above) is on the wrong “Model Show” topic, the Salisbury Model show should have gotten the comment about my honorable mentions, but rest assured there are some equally impressive models and dio’s at the Northern Model show as well, I just wish I could get to one of these events just to shake hands with a few compadres.

Haha no problems, there is some serious modelling skill all around the country and overseas. Unfortunately Mike I only took one pic of HMCS Snowberry. There was a lot of British gear Johnny, it was really nice to see. I’ve stopped building anything non modern British, it’s why I came away without a kit there was none there I didn’t already have. I’m trying to build vehicles that were in service when I was. Still plenty to get through.
