Being a Beemer fan myself this is great build Joel. Despite your own personal challenges and and an amazingly complex decal scheme you have the Bavarians proud.
Looking forward to the 917!
cheers
Michael

Another top build Joel. The red/black body with all those decals, looks spectacular.

One terrific build; fit and finish looks fantastic. I completely agree that more models have been ruined trying to make a repair way too late in a build or at the end; best to just leave it as is or do a repair way with in your capabilities with no risk to the model finish. Of course, a competition bound build is something else but those days are so very long gone.
Looking forward to your Porsche 917 build.

Another top build, Joel!

I’ve been a bit absent from the forums the last few months, with real life challenges etc, but it’s great to see your own issues haven’t kept you from delivering a stunning model, one that you can sit proudly on your display shelf!
Looking forward to seeing you start the 917!
Michael, Jesper, Peter, & Russelle,
Thanks so much guys for stopping by and your thumbs up for the finished Bimmer M8. It’s always much appreciated.
The 917K is on the bench, and as usual, I’m starting with the body right through painting, decaling, and glossing, as it’s my comfort zone of building.

Another great job from the paint and decal guru !
Since it is a BMW I would be careful - you don’t want it to spontaneously catch fire in the model cabinet ! !
Richard,
Thanks so much for your thumbs up, it’s always greatly appreciated from such a skilled model builder as yourself.
Good thinking about adding yet another potential fire hazard to the display unit. I already have one fire extinguisher in the room, maybe I should get a 2nd one? But I gotta tell ya, that another Red car to my already growing Red car collection does look rather impressive if I don’t say so myself.
Hope that you made out ok with no wind, snow, water damage in yet another of these storms. We got lucky in Eastern LI with just light but steady rain all day and almost no wind till late last night. This morning a solid coating of snow on the lawns and driveways, but not the street. Not sure if it was Black ice or not, but I really don’t venture out in this weather unlike yesterday where we needed to be out literally all day.
The good news is that today is one day closer to Spring.
joel
Ken,
Thanks so much my friend for your much appreciated thumbs up. It’s great appreciated.

Another really beautiful build Joel, I love it! You know I’m not a modern car guy, but there’s no disputing the great lines of these, and your work on the detailing and finish really always takes it up a notch.
Cheers, D
D,
Thanks for your thumbs up on how the BMW M8 GTE turned out. It’s greatly appreciated.

So Joel, here I am in Southern CA supporting my company’s first time as an event sponsor for Women’s Tennis Association. Took a break to wander the tennis grounds and what do I find but this.
Dave
Dave,
Wow!! Now that’s a find, but what’s it doing a a women’s tennis match?
joel
Very nice finish.
The car is here as BMW is a sponsor of the Indian Well Tennis Garden. This and next week are the BNP Parabis Open tennis tournament, considered to be the highest one after the grand slam events and is an ATP and WTA event. My company is here as a sponsor and to perform bone density and body composition analysis (bone to fat to lean/muscle tissue) on the female tennis players as part of their annual physical exams.
It is cool to see our company logo on the ends of the nets and the walls of the stadiums. I don’t watch tennis myself, but it is a neat, different experience. My credentials badge has gotten me access to the whole facility that I have wanted to view.
