Sorry Ryan - not nagging - just that I’m a bit short of shows at the moment.
I hear ya on the shows - here in SE England there’s a big gap left by the collapse of the Folkestone (Feb) and Hornchurch (March) shows. Next up for me is London Plastic Modellers in early May.
All good. There was a number of people photographing with nice cameras and not my cellphone. Some random photos.
I really miss On Track - the Feb show - that was a great start to the modelling years for Stonehenge Modellers - not least a sit was a different catchment area, and the night before took its toll too - but in a good way(!)
That drowned tank is simply stupendous.
So I heard; Katie Price, wasn’t it?

Oh, did I mention it before? One of my jobs when I was stationed at the Permanent Joint HQ at Northwood, working in Media Ops, was to take journalists and others out to operational theatres; at the time we were running 3 ops, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Sierra Leone. I was charged to take Ms Price to see the boys in Bosnia. This was before she’d plasticised herself too much, although her assets were quite impressive. She was still known as “Jordan” then.
She was late arriving at RAF Brize Norton and the RAF were their usual, rigid, unimaginative selves. However, being in possession of the Fighting Dogs (nickname given to a Warrant Officer Class 1’s insignia), I carried the day and off we went.
She looked half decent back then - though I can’t remember if she was blonde or not.
Time to trot out an oldie:
“During the current heightened tensions an Israeli Armoured Division is reported to have entered Jordan. She is reported to be tired but happy.”

Fixed Your Post…
Nowadays it would be a crime against humanity…
Standard Army comment about the regular appearances of a BBC reporter in conflict zones: “Here comes Kate Adie, we must be in deep sh!t…” (or variants thereof).

Certainly would, given the state she’s in these days..
Not sure if the last of the On-Tracks was the last time we met in person?
Tom, my dear boy - it was indeed! I recall you hove into view - we were operating up on the balcony; I remember it well!
Very sad- probably more plastic than there is on this site.
Yeah, I miss that venue! The added thrill of it potentially falling into the sea made it all worthwhile…
The fact that the bar was open was always a bonus - if one wasn’t too hors de combat from the previous evening’s exertions.
Now you’re making me all nostalgic…
I tried to post five pix I took but it didn’t work. I’ll futz about with it later.
I found selecting one at a time was slightly faster but not ideal.
Yeah, there’s zero chance I have the patience for that. Eight dies, five is the limit, but five just dies too. Bleargh.
