Thanks man. I always try to draw on my Infantry experiences while show action. Tactics are not that much different between countries and armies really.
There are some good pics from Normandy during the counterattacks by KG Wunsche against the Commonwealth troops involved with “Martlet”. Pretty big groups of Infantry in the photos linked with supporting Panther near the St Martin farm.
And yes,the immediate counterattack was the standard SOP for the Wehrmacht overall during that war. Sometimes to its’ detriment.

That is just soooo cool man. Thanks for that.

Started work on this Riich kit. It has a bizzillion fiddly teeny tiny bits. Very detailed yes but man o man. I find it almost impossible to clean up some of them as they are way too small.
I am letting the base coat dry so started to put the crew together. They were posed in a “kneeling at attention” position so I hunched them down behind the shield like a propa gun crew would be under fire.

.

The Riich figs have very nicely done faces for a plastic kit. They also molded the soles of the boats separately to show the hobnail detail. Nice touch. I have also replaced the helmets, and will use canteens and e-tools from Mini-arts’ new set.

Went all in on this ammo case last night. Lots and lots of decals. The ones for the ends though were so teeny I just went ahead and painted the stuff on. I did scrape of the handles and replace them with wire.

Loveit JR , it’s the little things that make a difference and eventually once you start it up , it’ll make a grown man cry …

Awesome details indeed! I expect the source of miniart will dry up for some time with the current situation in Ukraine…

Lovely job on the ammo case Jerry, a work of art in its own right, :+1: :slightly_smiling_face:.

G,

I have rarely seen such a small item detailed so well!

Damn, Jerry. That ammo can is a beauty. A work of art, and a perfect little detail that few others would tackle.

I’m always amazed and how short a time elapses between your progress updates. You are able to turn out such quality work in a short timespan and get it photographed. Bravo.

Brilliant as always J.R. !!!

'Like the helmet netting on this one Jerry - very well executed.

Haven’t checked in in a while Jerry with so many distractions but stunning as usual bro. Amazing job on the British gun and crews. Love the way you have the Germans and British moving as units …. Very realistic as well as beautifully painted and posed. This time the figures are pointing for a reason we can see lol like directing their troops . Awesome!
