Just to give an idea
This the 6th Guards Churchill with the 51st Highlanders as company.
Love it all Jerry; and to those who perhaps havenât seen Scottish military dancing + a good melodrama to boot, I would commend this film to all:
(Clip only but Iâm sure the whole is readily available)
Post war I must hasten to add.
Enjoy.
Cool ! Outstanding clip. Some very famous actors in there.

Bit more done here. Not much but the kind of work that tends to turn the local air blue around here.
âEffinâ super glue, effin this, effin that, where in the âFâ did that part fly off toâ, etc. etc.
Thanks for looking in,
J
Good effinâ work there Jerry! Love the toggles and fasteners.
Thanks mate, effin-A,
J
Superb bit of kit work there Jerry!
Thanks Karl and Cheyenne !
I appreciate it guys. Still tempted to replicate that PBR can though.

Boy, that sounds like my workbench⌠the dogs slink away from being within hearing distanceâŚ
The figure looks great from behind
That reminds me (sadly re our Cocker Spaniel - who piled in recently untimely, but thatâs another story):
I was walking our dog on Salisbury Plain - a military training area but more or less open to dog walkers etc; now, poor Tilly was not the best trained of dogs and she enjoyed doing pretty much as she pleased on the openess of the Plain with all its scents, animals and other distractions. At one point she legged it and would not come back; now, as a former Warrant Officer I hate disobedience and in my rage I threw my walking stick down and yelled at her with a shocking list of foul expletives. To my great surprise several soldiers emerged from a nearby thicket, all superbly camouflaged and admonished me with a âTake it easy Sirâ, and was I âalright?â
Suitably chastened I concentrated on recovering my dog and went on my way, but aware that somehow I had outsworn the British Army. I wasnât too sure if that was a good thing or not(!)
Hahahahaha outstanding anecdote. I am doing OK until to descends to the level of âmule skinnerâ words. Then itâs time to take a breath.

Hah, we used to joke that you could only kill one guy with those old 1911s. After you emptied the magazine, and the rounds all missed wildly. You threw the big hunk of steel and hit him in the head!
Sad to read your dog passed away, but man had you just got me laughing! Luckily I didnât have any tea in my mouth, or it would have coverd the place (and with a laptop and keyboard in front of me, that would not have been a good thing!)
Your story was both funny and sad, so Iâm sorry for the loss of your dog, Iâm sure you have many good memories.
Your story was hilarious, just a good I read it when aone, nobody could hear me
Well, thanks all; I suppose it is quite funny though if anything, I tell the story against myself.
looking good and heavy.
Thanks mate!

Absolutely beautiful all around JR! Just completed the read thru from the beginning, and this is truly inspiring to say the very least. Finally Iâve reached present day at 1900!
I found myself studying every detail of every pic and every figure. All the notes, and all the comments and replies. Went back over and throughout the blog, and it has just left me speechless. I didnât, no, I couldnât slide up to the most recent posts, bc that would be cheating myself out something pertinent, even if it was just the humor. Enjoyed the to-n-fro of your quite informed audience members, learning along the way. Yeah Jerry, you did that. The sheer volume, not to mention the planning and preparation, would succeed in blowing anyone away who fully appreciates the art of the diorama. Now Iâm looking forward to the counterattack w/ SS armor, and to the commonwealth shelling. Thank You Jerry.
Sincerely
Dave
