Australia has just joined other countries stopping deliveries to the USA until the USA gets their act together.
So the likes of BnA will be affected.
Iâll be okay
Yep. Pretty much the world has put mail to the states on hold til âtheyâ figure out how to make the new rules work. For US folks, it will probably mean going through distributors to get goods and not your small business directly to make the shipping/tariff numbers work.

Just ordered the new Takom M1 Super Sherman from BNA, it shipped this morning at 7:50a the email says, so I guess I just made it ! Whew
I ordered the Arms Corps Models Aussie M1A2 conversion on the 20th and I believe it slipped out before our tariff idiocy called a halt to shipping today. We will see if it gets to this side of the big water but ACM thinks all is well.
According to the news Australia Post wont accept parcels on or after the 26th. Today is the 26th in Australia. Good luck.
Luckily it doesnt work the other way around, not that i order much from America
This is going to effect me big time. BNA Modelworld from Australia is one of my main suppliers. They have such an extensive catalog, great prices, and low shipping rates. Stuff you can only get otherwise from Hong Kong (at 3 times the shipping), and some stuff itâs only easy to find from tham. MasterClub tracks, for one. This is going to suck, hard. First time iâve been personally effected by one of Trumpâs actions.
Hong Kong has suspended shipping to the USA since April 27. This is from Hobby Easy.

Hong Kong Post announced that all postal services to USA are suspended since April 27 except letter / document, it is because US Government requests Hong Kong Post to collect import tax for them.

Below is the Latest updated info :
30% is only for the bulk order (large payment amount)
For the small amount package, remain USD100.00 per each.
So I think you wonât accept to pay the item price x 3-5 multiples or more (expensive courier fee plus import tax USD100.00)
I feel your pain Matt, BNA is outstanding and my go to for modeling. I have plenty in the stash to keep me busy for a whileâŚ.
Oh so do I Richard, but I donât have the detail sets and tracks for all of them. Not having BNA is going to curtail what I build.
I feel the same way. I have plenty in the stash and save my worries for important things.
The USA has their âactâ together-whatever that means.
I imagine you have a few other kits in the stash?
Yes hopefully it will all blow over soon lol
Sorry about that Matt,I guess Iâm not a big purchaser of models and supplies, used BNA once that I reacall
It is now America First.
So this is the time to build up your own local products and build your own store for Kits, Spares, Etchparts, Decals, colors and all the stuff you ever wanted.
This is the best time for it, with all the tariffs and restrictions. It is cheaper than all this China, Japan and Korea Stuff. Nobody needs.
Go for the Domestic Market. Do it now. Start your shop today, and name it âThe Donnies Kit Manufactureâ Maybe you get a free red Hat (Produced in China)
Do not buy outside of USA. Never again.
And maybe this is a little bit ironic, but you get what you vote for.
Rabbits
The effects on the US and world economies will be interesting to watch; US consumer spending and Chinese/other consumer production are pretty interdependent and US consumers wonât have a good alternative to buy from while the Chinese can concentrate on selling elsewhere.
This too shall pass. I donât tend to buy much from overseas, so like many folks above, it really wonât impact me in regards to this hobby. And seriously, if where I source my hobby supplies from and how much they cost are the biggest headaches in my life, then my life has no real problems. Good health, food, clothing, shelter, and financial security are all in place. Anything else is a plus.
How do some people put it? First World Problems?
Indeed.
The tariffs may also impact on food and clothing.
Economic disturbance might possibly also impact the financial security.
Shelter (as in living quarters) is mostly domestically produced, except
maybe for some of the building materials:
Impact on health is probably neglible unless stress from any of the other tariff impacts causes
health issues.
