Dan has no skills I’m afraid
Only one way to develop them…
Hi Dan
Sorry scratch built them two times that was enough lol
First time all variants
Second time two wrecked vehicles on a range .
Let some one else have a go
Ossie
Good effort all round Ossie! I may have to bump up mine from the stash (after the double figures half built ones that is).
Hi Ozzy,
I think the key is that one has to post build pics as the scratch building is going on.
Make a big deal of it…
I think you’re right; and within days of it being portrayed in primer say, Takom or someone will announce one!
Impressive stuff Ossie, impressive stuff.
hi Boots thanks
here is
start of the second one , it has a poly stick in the turret so I can hold it lol. because the hull is so thin it broke when I moved house and I must remake it at som time but please enjoy the pictures.
I must admit I do find this an interesting vehicle; as I think I said some way back (on this thread) it sort of looks right in a way. Sleek, fast, powerful armament. The Bundeswehr must have been spitting feathers when it turned out to be so labour intensive. As we know of course, soldiers will make the best of what they have and I do recall seeing it in around '68.
As I say, I feel I should now bump up my Elite Modellbau to the top of the list.
That should help
HS30 Lang kit
Was Available from Scalemates: Elite in Resin.
Perfect Sale Modellbau (PSM) have 3 different Hotchkiss Short resin models.
So if PSM, who specialise on post war Bundeswehr, don’t do it. then don’t hold your breath.
The usual thing is to get Gino @HeavyArty to scratch build it & at 95% complete, a plastic kit will be announced!
I note the Takom FV432 hull tub is done in such a way to easily make a FV433, FV434, and so on, but I live in hope (with a stash that faaar exceeds by build rate!)
PS: PSM do several Bundeswehr conversions for the M113, including the Green Archer Radar!
I’ve got that one in my stash, had it for ten, fifteen years, I suppose, and never found the courage to start building it. Nothing to do with Ossie’s work, but with the quality of Elite’s casting, or rather, the poor standards of it.
Unfortunately, for you guys, West German Cold War subjects don’t interest me. Hopefully someone will do it for you.
Unfortunately that doesn’t really work. Companies like Trumpeter like to get the most life out of their molds by repopping the kit with additional sprues.
Gino and I both built FAASVs years ago. I even pimped out all of my measurements to the main players. All we got out of it was a 1/72 scale version.
I’m currently doing an M992A3 out of the Panda M109A7. The same players have those measurements as well. I don’t expect to see it any time soon, either. It may be a matter of the main hull being too dissimilar to where you want to end up. They’d have to retool too much, at the risk of not enough modelers interested in it to make it worth their investment.
Non Wehrmacht ammo carriers are not of interest.
The ultra-rare HS30 Krummlauf version?
very nice project
you look if some Marder components can help you
To you or modelrs in general?
To the general modellers only. I saw enough FAASV to WANT one. I tried NIMIX kit, but forget it.
